Conference Highlights

Why did you join Zonta and what makes you stay?   Perhaps these ideas might trigger your thoughts:
Community. International connection. Service. Fun Philanthropic. Meet new people. Hands-on projects. Connections. Advocacy. Mission and vision of Zonta. Friendship. Caring. Sharing ideas. Being part of “something bigger”. Helping in our community. Build a Better World for Women and Girls. Belonging.  Passing for giving a voice to those who cannot speak. Fellowship.

We will be capturing your thoughts during the conference and using them in promotional materials as we continue to grow our clubs.

We will be filling purses with products for women served by Bryony House Shelter, located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people.  MORE

We will remember the Zonta Sisters we have lost in the past two years with a dignified ceremony led by the Zonta Club of Amherst. MORE

We will get updates on the Foundation for Women and learn more about legacy giving with Zonta’s Endowment Funds. And there will be competition.  We are hoping to raise a sizeable amount to help the Foundation’s giving totals.

Clubs and individuals are encouraged to submit items for bidding.  MORE

To ensure Zonta International is fit for the future, we will focus on credibility and
visibility, club success, leadership and sustainability and engagement of new audiences
and allies. Work in these areas will be informed by, and undertaken in partnership with,
our global community of clubs and supporting members, as well as organizations and
individuals outside Zonta who share our vision for gender equity. We are developing
clear metrics to track our progress and hold ourselves accountable along the way

Bring your questions and your ideas for a lively conversation on what this means for clubs going forward.

Membership is key in Zonta. Attracting new individuals is part of the equation, but keeping dedicated members is gold! Donna Raycraft will run a workshop on member retention.

Canada knows a thing or two about climate change and disasters. The Halifax club will run a workshop on preparedness that is critical to anyone – regardless of where you live.
